Sean

Gilligan

CREATIVE DIRECTOR

 

Sean began his stage and screen career at the tender age of 4 on RTE and went on to train at the Royal College of Music, Royal  School of Dance and Trinity College Dublin (B. Mus) and is now the proud Director and owner of Sean Gilligan Performing Arts - renowned for performances in every major venue in Dublin and beyond; Sparkle Costume Hire - Ireland's leading costume hire company and The Halleluia Gospel Choir.

 

He has also worked with  and performed alongside artists such as Westlife, Gary Barlow and Josh Groban in concert. Sean's multi award winning directing, choreography and design credits, are too many to mention but include musical theatre productions such as Jesus Christ Superstar, CATS, Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables, Grease, Legally Blonde and West Side Story. Sean has been directing his own pantos since 2012 starting with Cinderella, Snow White and Robin Hood in Clontarf castle, followed by Cinderella and Beauty & the beast in the Hilton Dublin Airport Hotel where Dublin panto was born and and has this year brought panto home to Grange Woodbine Club with Snow White and the seven dwarfs.

Sean also directs the Cheerios panto who made a move from the Tivoli theatre to the pantodome this year with Cinderella as well as choreographing the Snowman Christmas Special in Bord Gais Energy Theatre,

Amy

Walsh

DANCE

Amy fell in love with performing at the age of 3 when she began taking class with the Royale School of dance. She then went on to train with F.A.C.T school of performing arts (SGPA), The Gaiety school of Acting receiving distinction in all 6 exams taken (Dublin Academy of Drama and communication) , College of Dance and Performers College (UK) graduating in 2015. Performance credits; Xfactor, F.A cup final 2013&2014, A Night with Westlife 02 arena, Aladdin Brighton Theatre Royal, Mass Movement Dancer, National Concert Hall Dublin, Hot Chocolate, World Street Performing Championship and many others. Theatre choreography credits; Hairspray, Grease, Footloose, Aladdin, Oklahoma, Wizard of OZ, High School Musical, Mamma Mia, The Wedding Singer to name a few. Amy has also completed FETAC Level 4 in Child Development. She has a passion for teaching and believes the Arts should be accessible to all.

James Deegan

DRAMA

James, a Dublin native, has been performing for over 10 years in theatre and film..He completed his theatre education with a B.A. in Musical Theatre from The University of Chichester in the UK. While training James performed such roles as:Willard Hewitt in"Footloose", Frederic in "Pirates of Penzance",The Tin Man in "The Wizard of Oz"and Cecil Sessile in “Brenda Bly:Teen Detective". Post training credits include:A continuing role in The Helix Panto every year,Emmet in LegallyBlonde, Bill Sykes in Oliver!,Purser/Swing in "Anything Goes"(Sussex Tour), Man 1in “Marry Me aLittle,Ensemble/Understudy Cowardly Lion in “The Wizard of Oz (Cork Opera House),Rooster in"Annie",Coach Bolton in “High School Musical"James has sang back up for many pop stars including Westlife, Gary Barlow and John Owen Jones.James is also a regular on the cabaret scene in Dublin singing at many corporate events and recently completed a stint as Lead Male onIrish Ferries Oscar Wilde.James’s teaching credits include A level Drama in Phoenix Performing Arts College where all of his students were accepted to university in the UK, Guest lecturing to BTEC Theatre Students in Colaiste Dhulaigh, Comedy Director for Grange Woodbine Variety group as well as SingingTeacher and assistant musical director for The showbiz academy

Ruth
Devine

DANCE

Ruth began dancing at the age of 4.  A student of the Billie Barry Stage School, Killester School of Ballet and The College of Dance, she is trained in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical and Commercial dance.  Ruth has also graduated from Broadway Dance Centre in New York having completed the International Student Visa Programme in Dance.

Chris Currid

MUSICAL THEATRE SINGING

Chris is a graduate of the Voice College, London(H.Dip in Contemporary Singing Teaching) where he graduated with distinction.

Theatre includes: Prince Charming(Cinderella, Helix theatre), Michael Collins in Michael Collins A Musical Drama(Dun Mhuire theatre, Wexford), Pablo in Sister Act(National Concert Hall), Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar(Mermaid Arts Centre), Tommy in Tommy(Civic theatre), Zangara in Assassins(Helix).

Concerts and other work: ensemble in the Hired Man in Concert(Cadogan Hall, London), lead vocalist in Raglan Road (Disney Orlando),lead vocalist /dancer in the World of Musicals(German tour), Irish Ferries, and the Rock Tenors(Holland, 2019.)

TV credits: the Late Late Show, Elev8(RTE), the Voice of Ireland and Superstar(ITV- top 40.)

 

Chris has been nominated for 8 AIMS Awards over the past 8 years. 7 of these were for Best Male Singer(Winning it in 2018), one for Supporting Actor.

 

His 2020 nomination for Best Male Singer was for Judas in JCS with SGPA

Sophie
Kavanagh

Sophie has been dancing for just  over 15years now learning from a fabulous variety of teachers from across the globe studying in styles hip hop, jazz, commercial, contemporary, vogue, whacking and locking. Dance her my passion and from this training she has been lucky enough to do what she loves and earn a living also by working on television, with incredible artists, and in some amazing shows.

Sharon
Osborne

DRAMA

Sharon began performing at the age of 4 when she enrolled in Speech & Drama classes where she completed her exams with the 'Irish Board of Speech and Drama' achieving distinctions right up to grade 8. She was a student of the Irish Children's Theatre Group where she trained in drama and musical theatre and attended Helen Jordan's stage school for dance.

 

Theatre credits include: Charity (Sweet Charity), Sukie (Witches of Eastwick), Carrie (Carousel), Mrs. Lyons (Blood Brothers), Smitty (How to Succeed), Beth (Little Women) and Bill Kenwright's West End touring production of 'Joseph & his amazing technicolour dreamcoat' on the Gaiety Theatre.

 

T.V credits: RTE Infomercial alongside 'The Corrs'. Performed with Brendan Grace in a Christmas show special for Network 2. RTE's 'The Fued' and a back to school commercial for SuperValu. Sharon has also done various voice over work including the AIMS awards in the INEC.

Shona
Carroll

TAP, MUSICAL THEATRE

Shona began her theatrical training at the age of 3 with D2 Stage School now known as Dublin Performing Arts. Learning styles including Tap, Jazz, Lyrical and Commercial dance. She later became a member of Sean Gilligan Performing Arts and T.W.A (Training With Aoibheann). Furthering her Performance training she studied BA Musical Theatre and BA Performing Arts at American College Dublin and The Brighton Academy. Throughout the years Shona has performed on many prestigious stages such as The Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, The Olympia theatre, INEC Killarney, The Tivoli theatre, The Helix, The National Concert Hall, The Gaiety theatre and many more. Shona is also a soloist in the Halleluia Gospel Choir and performs regularly at events all over the country. Previous roles include Nancy in Oliver! Bombalurina in CATS, Pillar in Legally Blonde, Sandy in Grease, Eponine in Les Miserables, Margarita in West Side Story, Gabriella in both summer and winter productions of High School Musical and has also played the lead in Dublin Panto’s Cinderella and Snow White
